Johnny B Good

I must be naturally attracted to trashy shit because when I saw this dress at Supre - for all those that don't live in Australia, it's pretty much the nastiest, tackiest, cheapest store we have churning out mass produced disposable rubbish like nothing else - I couldn't resist. The cut is actually pretty damn good, perhaps even good enough for me to go back and get the leopard print one too? Thinking about altering the center of the dress and adding a big silver ring a la Pretty Woman?

On another note: this happened a while back now, but I almost choked when I saw this photo on FASHIONISPOISON.blogspot.com - I don't know how the hell that fabulous girl found this photo (taken by me or friend a couple of years ago, it was on an old blog I use to have) but I had to repost it's just so fuckin dirty/wrong/funny/great haha!

another great studded corset appearance - THANK YOU TO THE GIRL THAT SOLD IT TO ME FOR $10 AT CAMBERWELL MARKET YEARS AGO - I LOVE YOU.

I totally thought that photo of the guy in the bustier was from Purple magazine. And I really love the dress - the shape and side cut outs look just like a dress I made a few months ago. Definitely get the leopard one, too.

I actually love this setup, and if one is going to veer towards the escort look you might as well do it right, and here you are looking as fab as ever!

hope all is going well with the work on your upcoming collection =)

True True. Supre is so totally wrong, but that dress is so right.
It must have been like having a devil and an angel on either shoulder while deciding to buy or not to buy.
Looks great!

Ahh Ive missed you!
I too have been dabbling in cut outs recently, however I am yet to master the art of sitting or bending with an exposed side stomach. You dont have to worry because you're lovely and thin.

$10, that makes me sick, ha.

you know when i saw the dress i thought of those sleeve holder things you posted about a while ago, i thought they might clip round the side cut outs or the middle bit or something.. probably not, many of my ideas don't work!

looks fucking mint with the bustier anyway

PS re: the claude pants, I so know what you mean about the cut. My pair have been altered, I have to put them on with plastic bags over my feet becuase they are so tapered now. You should do that to your too!

i think as long as it doesnt LOOK like it came from supre it's safe. i think you're successfully working this dress in a very non-supre way.

ah ha ha referred here my queen michelle and happily reading through the archives. i have that same dress from supre and you will never believe what i did....i put rings from spotlight in, a la pretty woman! i just could not resist. then wore it out on oxford st with thigh high boots which was probably taking the whole thing too far but was hilarious. to me, anyway.
great blog, im really enjoying it!

I visited australia for the first time a few months back and went into that store and bought that same black dress. i love the cut, they don't have anything like it in the U.S. (not even American Apparel). That is a cute idea to wear a bustier over it!
