Angelfuck

This is an editorial from the May 2003 V magazine. This was one of the first things i wanted to post on my blog but for some reason never got around to it. It's styled by my hands-down favorite stylist: Panos Yiapanis (he also styled the Helmut Lang gear in the post below) and shot by the incredible Inez & Vindoodh.

Panos Yiapanis no doubt has the best "stylist's own" collection I have ever seen - all the pieces in the shoots he styles that blow me away always seem to be from his own archive.

oh yeah, panos is a legend. he's cypriot (although since he lives abroad, not very well-known here) and a friend of a friend knows him, tells me he's amazing with fashion, and gets asked for styling advice by everyone, from people as diverse as lagerfeld to courtney love. cool

Yeah, the styling is absolutely perfect.
Love the mix between sweet and raw.

sometimes I buy ridiculous things soley because if I ever head down the stylist career path I want to frustrate readers with the "stylists own" tag.

This is a prophetic shoot - 2003? wow!

By the way, to continue our conversation from ages ago I do fashion business via correspondence with the Melbourne School of fashion - have you heard anything about that school? I really dont know much about it because I dont physically go there.

lkdjfkladjfkljklJ!!! amazing. the images with the pastel colors are my favorites.

i once tried to pull off this look during college, but the response was "oooh! you look so avril!" so i threw my hands up and quit. now i just admire the dainty- pastry-gone-wrong look from the side.

ps. thanks for the super sweet compliment! to answer your question, i work in corporate sales/event planning for an advanced contemporary sportswear line.

These are beautiful! I love how the model manages to look really tough and androgynous despite the incredibly feminine skirts. Very inspiring.

^ I agree with Grace so much, it makes me laugh. Oh to collect ridiculous beauty in the name of work.

And it's probably just a typo, but it's Vinoodh.
