Shoez (again)
Hey everyone, bet you didn't expect me to post again so soon! Just another post about shoez! These are my newest acquisition - cow hair ankle boots by Tony Lama (90s I'm sure) they are from a huge vintage shop called Retrostar in Melbourne. Am I slowly becoming the poor man's Sea of Shoes???!!! haha
Also, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW if you are a fan of chunky 90s boots/shoes and creepers, have a general appreciation for ugly-cool shoes, or if you enjoy some fucking funny australian humor!!! HAYLEY (click to visit her awesome blog) just sent me the link on facebook before and together we figured out that the video was shot in Chapel Street, Melbourne in the 90s. The shop across from where she gets stuck in the tram tracks is Dekota 501 across from the Jam Factory! The shop stocking all the amazing shoes was called 'Succhi shoes' - if anyone knows of where we could possibly get some deadstock, please let us know!!!! (I am aware that this is a LONG shot!)

the video is funny btw .. I would love to go in da shop
wow. i am so proud and jealous of your posting abilities.
sadly i think i would much rather your poor man sea of shoez than big time sea of shoez. shoez!
hahaha
I LOVE 'ugly' shoes, i dunno what it is, but they have this HUGE appeal.
holy crap those shoes are killing me
hahaa i love that video
How good are the huge platform sneakers?
I have some Succis. Theyre from Raben Shoes which stock Demonia and Pleaser and the like. But they're stripper shoes, not like the ones in the video. Maybe somewhere goth-y might know something about the brand.
those shoes are so interesting!!
Ooh I've been on the lookout for a pair of ponyhair boots, these look like a dream! I went to Retrostar when I was in Melbourne but didn't manage to find anything remotely good footwear-wise...boo.
amazing shoes, now I really wish i was in melbourne so i could visit the vintage shop.
however, i just wanted to say/write that i've followed your blog for a while now, and pretty much everything you post is inspiring.
wowowow they are so cowalisious!! goracho!!
that video is hilarious
the video is ♥
i love that they actually look like cow's feet/hooves. . . great find.
I had a dream about shoes like this...except for they were more like a hybrid between hooves and oxfords.
Either way, they're such a creepy/beautiful way to finish an ensemble. Bravooooo
I prefer the term 'different' rather than ugly :P hehe, at least not so many people will have them!
90's heel + cow hide = love
